Our mission is to improve communication and cooperation between military hospitals of two neighbouring countries, Turkey and Greece. We hope to increase the rate of scientific information exchange and to create a platform for collaborative scientific research.
We believe, these efforts will provide a better collaboration and benefits for both side’s military medical officers and lead to a better understanding of each other. A sustained scientific platform between Turkey and Greece is the ultimate goal of efforts like this.
As a first step, "teleconsultation with static images" covering various medical disciplines will be started. Names, positions and areas of expertise of all the participants will be made available here.
As is well known,"even the longest journey begins with the first step".. .
In 2006, for mutual confidence enhancement, Turkish and Greek military medical exchange program has been started and delegations from both side visited each other’s centers. At the beginning, medical communication started between Gülhane Military Medical Academy (Ankara, Turkey) and 417 NIMTS Hospital (Athens, Greece).
A common web-site was proposed to be established and run. A pure medical platform under the Gülhane Military Medical Academy web site was dedicated.
