He was born in 1951 kütahya tavşanlı.he was attended primary and secondary school in Eskişehir and completed in kuleli military high school in İstanbul. İn the year 1968 he began to İstanbul university faculty of medicine and finished his education in 1974. Between 1974-1975 he was attended his training in gulhane military medical academy.
He worked as a practitioner as a chief of the health department in 65 piyade tümen between 1975-1978 located in luleburgaz. He was a resident in respiratory diseases and tuberculosis section in Gülhane military medical academy in 1978. at the year 1980 he worked in 39 piyade tümen as a chief of the medical department in cyprus for 4 months and finished his training in Gülhane in 1982 . he worked as a specialist in the field of respiratory diseases in Fevzi çakmak hospital in Erzurum between 1982-1986.
İn 1985 he designated as chief asistant in gulhane respiratory disease division.14 october he won the examination and became university asistant professor and 25 december 1994 full professor. Now he is attending as the chairman of gulhane military medical academy department of respiratory disease and tuberculosis division from august 2005 . he is married and have two children
History of the gmma and military medical faculty division of respiratory diseases and tuberculosis :
The establishment of a separate division for tuberculosis in gulhane military medical academy was planned in 1947.with the order of chief of the health ministry dear abdulkadir noyan tuberculosis division and tuberculosis chief asistants was established and chief asistants was selected between internal disease specialist.dr hayati kutay ,dr Fahir sanel ,dr kemal berktin, dr rauf saygun selected for the mission.dr Fahir sanel began his duty in gulhane military medical hospital and dr kemal berktin and dr rauf saygun began to work in İstanbul military sanatorium.
At the end of the training of the chief asistant dr Fahir sanel was sent to france and dr kemal berktin tu usa for advanced courses in respiratory disease section. When Dr kemal berktin finished his training in usa he was selected as a chief of the tuberculosis division but the section was closed for an unknown reason.
İn 1958 another section for respiratory disease was established for ideas paralel to the current medical developments. Prof dr colonel Fahir sanel was selected as a chairman and worked as a chairman but between 1963-1966 and had a break at this time period chairman was prof.dr colonel fethi tezok and his duty was finished in 1966 when Prof dr colonel Fahir returned to the clinic and worked as a chairman till 1972 when he is retired .
Consultant specialist dr . colonel kemal balcı was attended as a asistant profesor in 1970 and retired to work in Diyarbakır university school of medicine in 1972.
Brigaider general dr Orhan sargın was the chairmen till the specialist of respiratory disease of mevki hospital was attended as a asistant professor to gulhane military medical academy .he was selected as a chairman in 1981 and also at that time he was full professor.
İn 1977 ass. Prof. Dr.col. hasan alın and ass prof.dr .col olgaç seber was selected as a member of lecturer staff if the GMMA respiratory disease division. Dr olgaç seber was the chairman in 1983 and he was full prof. İn 1984. and worked as a chairman till november 1988. between 1988-1996 full prof. Yücel akan was the chairman . again dr olgaç seber was selected as the chairman between 1996-2000 . he finished his work when he was retired in 2000 and dr Necmettin demirci was selected as the chairman of the respiratory disease division . he was designated in the high science council in 2005 . since 2005 full prof.colonel dr kudret ekiz is the chairman of the division
İn our clinic 3 full profesor 2 ass. Prof. 2 lecturer ,1 specialist, 7 resident is working.
